Hello There,
My Dad’s vehicle shows that the registration was done in two RTO and one needs to be deactivated. However the vehicle was renewed in 2016 without issue then. How to deactivate in one RTO?? We don’t have enough information on this. We need to renew the registration as it is due out of date. Please Suggest.
Looks like the registration was done in one RTO, and your residence is in a different location. You might have cancelled your hypothication from the RTO where your are residing. So, even though your registration number remains same, your vehicle records are now owned by the second RTO. Visit second RTO, and give an application to rectify your records in the online portal – normally handled by Records section of RTO. Once it is updated, you may have to visit again to make them “Move history” from old RTO to new RTO. Also, they have to update the tax amount paid by you when you purchased the vehicle. Then you can pay the fees online.

However, I tried to renew my vehicle’s registration which is connected to KA3 RTO.. and I got the message: “Renewal of Registration is Not Permitted at Present!! ”
That means I have to visit the RTO.
Thanks,
Sumit

Please check the date of expiry of RC. You cannot renew it earlier than 2 months before date of expiry. I also got the same message because my date is in Oct 2022.
Do I need to visit rto for fitness check for RC extension? Or fitness certificate can be obtained elsewhere?
What if we are not able to renew the life of two wheeler before 60 days?
Is there a confession in RC renewal due to covid? I came back to Bangalore after more than 2 years.
So I have to pay a penalty of 30*300 = 9000 + other charges which is more than the value of the vehicle.
What should I do this in such case?
