FSSAI license is compulsory for who involve in food business like a restaurant, food supplier chain, retailer, manufacturer, and more. The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India is a statutory body under the administration of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. FSSAI regulates the manufacture, storage, distribution, sale, and import of food articles, while also maintaining standards to ensure food safety.

FSSAI license has 3 types: 1. FSSAI Basic Registration, 2. FSSAI State License, 3. FSSAI Central License. You can apply for any license depending on your business. If the annual turnover is less than 12 lakh, then the food business owner needs a basic registration.

The FSSAI central license is for large size business if the annual turnover is more than 20 crores. FSSAI State license is for a medium-sized business if the annual turnover is more than 12 lakh and up to 20 crores.

How to Apply FSSAI License Registration Application Online?

Anyone who wants to apply FSSAL license online, needs to first visit the official website of FSSAI portal: FoSCoS – FSSAI. Open this website and click on Apply for New License/Registration.

Now select your business location category. we select a general location.

Next step is a select your state.

Show many businesses type and select one that applies (select one or more types). Click on Process button.

After assessment of kind of business selected and input provided, you will eligible license category show and click.

Now open form A and fill all details. after filling full form click on Save & Next button.

Upload all required documents and your photo.

Pay fees for fssai license depend on categories and the year.

After payment, submit the application for verification. If the official approves your application, then you will get your business FSSAI certificate.
